No. 02 · Meet your guide

Hello there, I'm Arthur

My grandfather kept his planting dates on the inside of his shed door, in carpenter's pencil: "Peas when the forsythia flowers. Beans after Mother's Day. Garlic by Columbus Day." When the shed came down, I unscrewed that door and kept it. It leans against my back fence now.

Years later I swapped my big plot for a patio and six pots. I didn't expect much. That first summer I picked 41 tomatoes from three buckets by the back door. I know, because I counted them on the shed door, in pencil, the way he would have.

This yearbook is that shed door written out properly, month by month, so you don't need to inherit one. I talk through a page of it every week on my YouTube channel, from the bench in the photo.

Happy growing, Arthur

No. 05 · Questions

Questions from the potting bench

I've never grown anything. Is this too advanced?

Not at all. It was written for beginners. Every term is explained in plain English, and the monthly lists tell you exactly what to do. If you can water a houseplant, you can do this.

I'm not good with computers. How do I get it?

After you pay, you'll see a big "Download" button and get an email with the same link. Click it, and the Yearbook opens as a PDF. Then press print, just like printing a letter. That's all the technology involved.

Will it work where I live?

Yes, anywhere with seasons. The planting chart is based on your local frost date, not a fixed calendar, and the Yearbook shows you how to find yours. Southern Hemisphere gardeners add six months.

I only have a balcony. Is it still worth it?

Absolutely. There's a whole layout for balconies, a container-size chart and advice on weight and wind.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

Email us within 30 days of buying, and we'll refund your payment in full. You don't need to give a reason.

What's the difference between the two options?

The yearbook on its own is one payment of $29, with no subscription. The yearbook + club option is $34 today, which includes the yearbook and your first club pack, then $9 a month for a new pack. Cancel the club anytime with one email, and keep everything you've downloaded.

Still have a question? Email us and Arthur's team will reply within one business day.
